Be the owner of HOKA performance category merchandising. This role is responsible for building up HOKA China performance merchandising strategy and long-term plan. Convince global brand team about China local needs performance Cat. Be responsible to build up China range, aligned cross function about GTM stories and Omni-channel assortment for HOKA brand by segmenting product type and distribution channel to maximize sales opportunity. Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Merch buying team, Marketing team, VM, WSL, E-com, Retail and training on product relevant communication. Ensure seasonal GTM plan is well executed and achieve merchandising target.

50% BUILD UP HOKA CHINA OMNI-CHANNEL ASSORTMENT
  • Build up HOKA performance cat. merchandising strategy in short term and long term.
  • Conduct regular market research (including but not limited to Media / own stores/ competitor stores/Pinnacle stores) to understand the China performance market trend and consumer needs.
  • Delivery seasonal performance Cat. inputs based on local trends and consumer needs. Convince global brand team understand about local relevance.
  • Join global GTM meetings (eg.GTM1,GTM2). Define local opportunities and risks based on global performance plan. Share regional voice and to convince brand team on local relevance in terms of product, flow, colors and price on performance cat.
  • Responsible for building up HOKA China performance FTW range and omni-channel assortment, GTM stories.
  • Fully consider the needs from different channels and make differentiation by offering different assortment and exclusives styles in performance cat.
  • Work with merchant buy and demand planning team to share merchant forecast with global brand team on performance cat. , with clear point of view on performance franchise build up plan and growth strategy.
  • In charge of local performance cat. go to market process (Pre/Post GA, Pre-line). Present seasonal strategy, assortment, buy package to cross function (Sales/MKT/VM & training) and retailers. Convincing cross function & Listen feedback and adjust plan based on merchant strategy and channel needs.
  • Brief SMU/RMU capsules based on performance strategy and local trend /consumer needs.
  • Work on seasonal pricing strategy analysis by segmentation for performance. Based on both the competitor’s situation and US RRP markup.


30% CROSS FUNCTION MERCHANDISING SUPPORTING
  • Lead trade show communication on performance cat. Prepare powerful and eye-catching trade show materials and delivery convincing trade show presentation.
  • Lead the Q&A session with retail partners on product feedback and delivery back to the global team with key callouts. Make sure reasonable request adjustment is done properly.
  • Create selling tools such as product map, catalogue, and assortment plan for Omni-channel before both China Trade Show and update the final version before new season launch.
  • Responsible for merchandising files update, Bible, launch Map, Product pictures management, etc.
  • Lead product lifestyle cycle management on performance FTW. Share clear suggest selling months with Omni channel for buying. And also review in season ST% to fix close out date and promotion guideline with merchant buy team with clear consideration on both short term and long-term product lifecycle.
  • Work with training team to provide seasonal product training.
  • Order samples and work with merchant operation team with sample management.


10% OTB SUPPORT
  • In charge of seasonal investment review on performance part. Share relevant order adjustment suggestions to channel based on brand directions and product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Merch operation and merchant buy team to provide in-season merchandise analysis and seasonal sales review. Share product highlights and lowlights and adapt in further merchandising plan based on finding and learning.
  • Participate in DTC Buying process and work closely with merchant buying team, recommend for SKU selection.


10% Cross function communication
  • Lead communication with cross function in each gate, understand different channel needs, convince MKT/Sales/Merchant buy team on performance merchandising strategy.
  • Work closely with the marketing team and VM team to make sure they have the best presenting way to highlight the seasonal key product messages.
