About OMNES
OMNES is a sustainable fashion brand committed to making a positive impact on people and the planet. As a B Corp-certified business, we aim to lead by example — championing responsible production, ethical partnerships, and conscious design without compromising on style or affordability.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Sustainability Manager to lead and enhance our sustainability strategy across the business. This role is central to ensuring OMNES continues to meet and exceed its environmental and ethical commitments — both internally and externally.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, design, production, and communications teams to embed sustainability across all levels of decision-making, reporting, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Implementation
- Audit and enhance our existing sustainability framework
- Drive short- and long-term sustainability goals aligned with business growth
- Oversee B Corp re-certification and ongoing compliance
- Supply Chain & Materials
- Work with suppliers and production teams to strengthen responsible sourcing
- Assess and reduce environmental impact across the supply chain
- Support material traceability, LCA assessments, and certifications (e.g. GOTS, OEKO-TEX)
- Reporting & Compliance
- Lead sustainability reporting and carbon footprint measurement
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with UK and EU legislation
- Collaborate with finance to ensure sustainability is embedded in procurement and cost analysis
- Team Engagement & Advocacy
- Educate and empower internal teams on sustainable best practices
- Collaborate with marketing to communicate sustainability initiatives authentically
- Represent OMNES in sustainability forums and industry networks
Requirements
- Proven experience in sustainability or ESG, ideally within fashion or consumer goods
- Deep understanding of environmental and ethical standards, supply chain transparency, and reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Experience with B Corp, carbon footprinting tools, and supplier audits a strong plus
