Paris Fashion Week to Include Guest Shows By Marni and Peter Do; Carven’s Comeback

Paris Fashion Week’s FHCM announced a busy September womenswear schedule stacked with newcomers and returning brands.

Milan-based Marni (designed by Francesco Risso) and New York-based Peter Do are set to show in Paris for the first time. Mugler and Maison Margiela are returning to the womenswear schedule (which will run from Sept. 25 to Oct. 3) after several years of staging mainly online shows and in-person events loosely aligned with the menswear schedule.

Designer debuts include former Lacoste creative director Louise Trotter’s first outing for Carven (the brand’s first show since 2018) and Stefano Gallici’s first collection for Ann Demeulemeester, following Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s departure in May. Lanvin, which has tapped the rapper Future for a guest-designed capsule, will stage a presentation.

Other additions to the womenswear schedule include Charaf Tajer’s Casablanca (which is moving over from menswear) and young designers Duran Latink and Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, both of whom garnered buzz for their off-calendar shows this spring.

The emerging designers and returning brands join a calendar stacked with fashion heavyweights like Saint Laurent, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Chanel, which have long anchored the event.

Off-White, helmed by Ib Kamara since founder Virgil Abloh’s death in 2021, is skipping the season but is set to return in February, according to Vogue.
