Menswear Designer - Nahmias 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly talented and creative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team at Nahmias, a leading Los Angeles-based men's apparel. This unique opportunity involves working closely with the brand's founder, Doni Nahmias, to develop original and innovative designs that align with our brand's distinct vision and meet the demands of the market. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating both clothing designs and will require a strong understanding of current fashion trends, technical design expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and Doni Nahmias directly. 

Responsibilities

• Reports to founder Doni Nahmias to develop and refine design concepts and overall brand aesthetic.

• Conduct extensive market research to identify emerging trends, innovative fabrics, and new techniques specific to men's apparel.

• Develop original design concepts and sketches for clothing, utilizing both traditional drawing methods and digital design tools.

• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production, emphasizing precision in both apparel.

• Provides mood, inspiration, and conceptual on brand imagery to the Creative Director continually.

• Works on product execution up to SMS handoff to Production. 

• In-house designs and strategic collaborations.

• Manage design timelines and meet critical deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years fashion design experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.

• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and Word needed.

• Exceptional sketching and technical drawing abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of garment construction, fabrics and trims.

• Superior communication and presentation skills.
